Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 6th that various additional companies have joined the 'Token Securities Working Group (Security Token Working Group)', a token securities working group to expand the K-content financial market.

New companies participating in the working group this time include K-content production company Genius, K-content investment company Solaire Partners, and luxury collectibles piece investment platform Treasurer.

Genius is a K-content production company founded by Yang Woo-seok, director of the 10 million hit movie 'The Attorney', and is preparing to produce a K-drama that will be popular on the global stage based on famous domestic original cartoons. Solaire Partners is a venture capital firm established in 2017 by CEO Choi Pyeong-ho, a cultural content expert who served as head of the film business division at CJ Entertainment (currently CJ ENM) and CEO of Sidus FNH, and is responsible for the films ‘Parasite’, ‘Extreme Job’, and ‘Crime City’. He has participated as a major investor and achieved excellent results.

Mirae Asset Securities plans to work with these companies to commercialize token securities based on K-movie and drama investment projects.

Mirae Asset Securities paid attention to the synergy effect of convergence between K-content and finance after announcing the token securities guidelines. The Korean content market is the 7th largest market in the world and is a high-growth industry boasting an average annual growth rate of 11%. Global investors' interest in K-content investment is rapidly increasing, which is consistent with the business characteristics of token securities that are oriented towards the global market.

In addition, Mirae Asset Securities plans to explore various ways to utilize token securities, starting with discussions with Treasurer on the valuation and commercialization of luxury collectibles with high investment value. This time, Coinplug and zkrypto, technology companies related to token securities, also joined.

In the global token securities industry, competition at the blockchain network level (hereinafter referred to as mainnet) is fierce. Mirae Asset Securities is also conducting technological collaboration related to blockchain by inviting various technology companies to the working group.

Coinplug is the first in Korea to provide and commercialize blockchain-based certificates to the financial sector. It is a web 3 technology company that currently possesses various blockchain technologies such as distributed identity (DID), mainnet, wallet, dapp, non-fungible token, decentralized exchange, and stable coin.

zkrypto is a company with Korea's highest level of technology in the field of Zero-Knowledge Proof, and won the 'Best Innovation Award' at CES held in Las Vegas, USA, earlier this year.

Ryu Ji-hae, director of Mirae Asset Securities' Digital Asset TF, said, "I think K-content is a basic asset that can expand to the world," and added, "We plan to continue technological collaboration with excellent blockchain technology companies."
